LFT-12 Center Channel Hybrid SpeakerThe LFT-12 is Eminent Technology's first hybrid center channel speaker system using the highly acclaimed Linear Field Transducers combined with two 6.5" woofers.
Lft-12 available in Oak, Walnut & Gloss Black (comes with black grille cloth) The LFT speaker series in a sense is the magnetic equivalent of a push-pull electrostatic loudspeaker, differing in that it requires no step up transformer or bias voltage and that the audio signal is applied directly to the diaphragm. As a result, distortion remains low even at high sound pressure levels. In order to obtain a uniform driving force over the entire surface area of the diaphragm, a low mass foil/Mylar diaphragm is used with conductor traces etched (like a circuit board) with high resolution. A thin, lightweight diaphragm is used for the high frequency tweeter, which has smooth response to 50kHz. The LFT-12 radiates a directional planar wave front, and as such, on axis its apparent efficiency at the listening position is higher than the numerical rating implies. The LFT-12 has a minimum rating of 25 watts tube or solid state. It can handle "music power" levels (short term burst) of 200 watts or more with out difficulty. The largest recommended amplifier size is 200 watts. The LFT-12 does not require a high current amplifier. A receiver may be used if it has sufficient power. Tube amplifiers should be used with the 8-ohm tap. Eminent Technology engineers have designed the LFT-12 to seamlessly blend with any of Eminent Technology's speakers. The LFT-12 complemented with a pair of LFT-8 speakers and LFT-16 speakers makes up a complete home theater system that is second to none. The LFT-12's low coloration, distortion and neutral sound quality will blend with any speaker type to form the ultimate home theater system. |
